Fostering IT experts in the local community
The aim of this “local community and media technology” themed project is to foster experts in information technology that will assume leading positions in their respective local communities.
One major issue related to regional development activities today is the lack of human resources that work out measures for promoting the appeal of a certain region comprehensively and with a long-term vision. Such people are required to be able to communicate the vision of the local community, pinpoint both appealing and problematic aspects within that community, and connect it with others. However, there are still major improvements regarding opportunities for practical training and cultivating systematic knowledge that have to be made.
Implemented with the aim to foster experts in information technology that will assume leading positions in their respective local communities, this project focuses on media technology as a means for them to gain a foothold in the community, while at once providing an integrated platform for practical training and the conveyance of knowledge.
