The status of COVID-19 infection of YCAM employees (2nd report)
On November 10, the infection with COVID-19 of one additional employee of the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media [YCAM] has been confirmed after a second PCR test. With the three employees that had tested positive on November 5, there are currently four YCAM employees infected.
The employee has been listed as a close contact of those whose infections had been confirmed on November 5. In cooperation with the Yamaguchi Prefectural Institute of Public Health and Environment, all close contacts - including the employees who eventually tested positive - have been PCR tested at YCAM, and action histories are being investigated.
As a result, it has been confirmed that, up to November 4, when the first YCAM employee tested positive, the employee had been working at a facility within the Center that is not accessible to regular visitors. It was further understood that no regular YCAM visitor was on the list of close contacts. All equipment and facilities inside the Center that were used by the employee have been completely disinfected.
