Patio
These free, open courtyards at four locations inside the complex are surrounded by glass walls.
Designed to function as connections between the Studios, the Foyer and the Library, the Patios' are planted with Griffith's Ash trees, the green leaves of which, together with the sunlight, add a sense of tranquility to the Center's interior. On sunny days, visitors can use the Patios for a coffee break, reading, or just relaxing, while the illumination creates a romantic mood at night.
The unique construction of these seemingly indoor but actually outdoor spaces is a characteristic feature that makes the Patios interesting settings also for installation displays and performances.
