Hideto Iwai "IKINARI HON-YOMI! (Sudden Book Reading)"

“Watching a rehearsal is definitely more fun than watching a finished piece!” This was Hideto Iwai’s idea that inspired this live show that is presented by multiple performers who have never seen the script before.

Entering the stage and opening the script for the first time, the actors play various roles based on Iwai’s direction, staging a play in which the audience can witness on-the-spot how the functions of “actor,” “script” and “direction” dynamically intertwine.
