Caring, Cleaning, and Learning from Daily Life
In our creative world, “new” is more valuable than “old”, translating to the sonic progress of many things in our lives. However, the recent pandemic taught us the importance of slowing down and caring for things. This action of care is perhaps reflected in the action of cleaning–domestic activities that we do almost every day–which could also symbolise our wish to preserve things. Is there any meaning to learn from our daily life? What kind of value could we take from daily actions such as cleaning? and how it is reflected in the institutional practice.
