The SINE WAVE ORCHESTRA
The SINE WAVE ORCHESTRA is a project that was launched in 2002 by the four core members Ken Furudate, Kazuhiro Jo, Daisuke Ishida and Mizuki Noguchi. Together they have been presenting their acoustic compositions based on the sine wave as the most fundamental component of sound in performances and exhibitions, following rules that allow each member to use only one single form of sine wave.
Works featured in exhibitions at NTT InterCommunication Center (2004, 2005), Yokohama Triennale (2005), MART (Italy / 2006), LNMM (Latvia / 2006), Edith Russ Haus (Germany / 2010), the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (2013) and the Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions (2015) among others.
