The first room contained a drawing environment consisting of a computer and a graphics tablet, which visitors were free to use to draw any kind of picture they liked. However, the moment a visitor began to draw, the monitor and all lights went out, leaving the person in a dark environment without any visual information. The only information was instead provided in the form of sounds coupled with the movements of the graphic tablet's pen. Puzzled by the experience of a sensation switched independently of their consciousness, the visitors continued to draw in the dark.
Shown in the second room were large visual projections of the drawing process that the respective visitor was unable to see while drawing. These images were played back in continuous loops.
The website contained a chronological archive of drawings created this way, whereas only the pen's oddly running strokes were visible to those visiting the website.
