Born 1966 in Gifu. Presently lives in Yamaguchi. After graduating from Seijo University, Faculty of Arts and Literature, worked for IBM Japan, and later completed master's programs at Seijo University, Graduate School of Literature, and The University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences). After studying at the International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences [IAMAS], completed a doctoral program at The University of Tokyo, Komaba, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences. Was involved in the planning and operation of "From Behind the Camera: A New Look of the World of Director Yasujiro Ozu" at The University Museum, The University of Tokyo, from 1998 through 1999. Presently works as an associate professor at Yamaguchi University, Faculty of Education.
