Born 1986 in Shiga Prefecture. Graduated from Tama Art University, Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Information Design. His artistic work is inspired by a critical attitude toward contemporary art that relies on incoherent rhetoric and one-shot gags, and respect for technology and a separation/organization/reassembly of artistic and academic fields. Produces exquisite painting works incorporating programming, and sculptures integrating programs, electronic circuits and living organisms. Also conducts video experiments with a programmable "sandbox" kind of virtual space. Has been involved in projects by many noted artists as a video artist, designer and software/hardware system developer, including Ryoji Ikeda's "superposition", Mari Kimura's "Eigenspace", and the "ARTSAT: Art and Satellite Project by Tama Art University and The University of Tokyo.
