A dancer, choreographer, theatre director and audiovisual artist. Born in Paris in 1961. Studied circus, mime and dance, and in 1983 took first place in the Concours choregraphique international de Bagnolet. In the same year, formed the Compagnie DCA (Diversity, Camaraderie, Agility). In 1992, he headed the production of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Albertville Winter Olympics for which he received worldwide acclaim. Decouflé introduces circus techniques into dance, and using images and sound, amazes his audiences with his poetic expression and extraordinary ideas. Principal works include Triton (1990), Shazam! (1998), Solo (2003), Sombrero (2006), and Coeurs Croisés (2007). He is active in a wide range of areas including films, commercials, musicals and ceremonies.
