Born in Tokyo in 1983, Maglor won the Best Student Film Award at the Western Australian Film Awards in 2007 and made his debut with the documentary Three Hams in a Can in 2009. He has worked in a variety of formats, including documentary, experimental film and video installation, and his work has been screened at the Perth International Arts Festival, Sydney Biennale and Ars Electronica, etc. He completed his PhD at Curtin University in 2015. She has also worked as a film critic, publishing essays on Kazuo Hara and Abbas Kiarostami and providing BD audio commentary for Hirokazu Kore-eda's “Nobody Knows”.
