ILLUHA

Corey Fuller, born in the US and raised in Japan, and Tomoyoshi "Juliano" Date, born in Brazil and raised in Japan, met after discovering each other's music in 2006. In 2007, they went on to record what would become their debut album, Shizuku in a 100-year old church in Bellingham, Washington. Shizuku was released in 2011 on 12k to critical acclaim and sold out shortly after its release. ILLUHA is part of "Between", a collaboration released on 12k which features notable 12k artists Taylor Deupree, Marcus Fischer and Simon Scott. Highly regarded for their live performances, ILLUHA has toured the US and Japan and in 2013 released "Interstices" a collection of live performances on 12k. ILLUHA's second studio album is currently in its final stages of production. Fuller is an audio engineer, film maker and cinematographer, while Date is a Physician working in Eastern and Western Medicine. Exploring themes such as nature and technology and the significance of physical spaces, ILLUHA continues to expand it's field of activity, through various collaborations, to encompass dance, poetry and film.
