contact Gonzo

contact Gonzo Formed by Masaru Kakio and Yuya Tsukahara in 2006. Developing a unique and pastoral theory on the sublime on physical collision, they create improvisational performance, video and photo works and edit magazines. “contact Gonzo” is the name of the group and at the same time the name of their practice and methodology, behind which there is a mountain. Currently they have been constructing their office and developing techniques for shooting fruits onto the body at 100 kilometers an hour and “mountain surfing,” a downhill gliding race. The current members are Yuya Tsukahara, Keigo Mikajiri, Takuya Matsumi and NAZE. A Saison Foundation grantee from 2011-2018.
