Born in 1991 in Tokyo, Japan. After graduating high school, Asumi attended Department of Applied Informatics at Faculty of Science and Engineering, Hosei University. At school, she studied intra-body communication, a technique using the human body itself as the transmission medium, and produced installation works that employed brain waves and data visualization as a part of her study.
After graduating, she went on to Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences(IAMAS), where she studied the form of body expressions in the context of cognitive science and interface. In 2014, she studied abroad in Linz, Austria to attend Interface Culture program at University of Art and Design Linz.
After finishing her study at IAMAS, she joined the team of YCAM in June, 2016, and has been in charge of production management for exhibitions, performances, and research & development projects at the Center. She exerts herself everyday, aiming to conduct management that is smooth and imperceptible to the level that the teammates can’t even notice.
